April / March Holiday are here and kids have a lot of free time at their hands. Here is a list of some free activities for all age groups to indulge in fun and festivities of vacation.

Saving the Planet

There is a wonderful event happening  in Tampines, the third largest town of Singapore, organized by the National Arts Council (NAC), Arts in Your Neighbourhood (AYN) for its 12th edition. There are going to be over 50 arts activities taking place at 16 locations island wide. Half of these are inspired by the vibrant history and iconic sights and sounds of Tampines. There will be interactive contemporary dance performance at the Tampines Round Market, music performances played from a roving musical truck featuring original melodies by Tampines residents, site-specific public art installations and music compositions by local artists.

Fun with Nickelodeon

The Festival of Fun has come around! Enjoy thrilling acts and stunts at the wonderful Street Fest along with fun games and crafts at the Nickelodeon Fiesta. Crafty fingers can MYO lanterns, flower garlands and more. Remember to pose with SpongeBob, PAW Patrol, Dora and the Ninja Turtles! Finally, the best part is for the first time ever, enjoy the Nickelodeon Fiesta River Cruise free!

Learning Singapore’s Heritage

The Substation is hosting a series with theme “The Vanishing, or Time Goes Away”, with an interactive playground, installation, children’s workshops, film screening, discussion even an interactive art experience with a four-course food tasting menu. Children can take part in kueh-making sessions, Goodbye Animals workshop and storytelling, or interact with Annie Ting puppet theatre performance. Lots of fun!

Date: 16 March to 7 April,  2 – 7 pm (Tuesday to Friday),  12 – 8 pm (Saturday and Sunday). Closed on Mondays

Feathered Friends Carnival of Fun

Fly on down to Jurong Bird Park during the March school holidays 2019 in Singapore. Activities for kids include animal rides, a giant tea cup carousel and game booths with prizes to be won! There will be inflatables and paddle boats too. Visitors will receive a complimentary game voucher with every admission to get the fun started!

The Inventions of Ancient Greece

Science Centre Singapore invites you to step back in time and marvel at the technology and innovation of ancient Greece in The Inventions of Ancient Greece: Origins of our Modern Technology, featuring over 40 exhibits from the Kotsanas Museum of Ancient Greek Technology. Thoughtfully curated by Mr Kostas Kotsanas, the founder of Kotsanas Museum of Ancient Greek Technology, each exhibit was personally handcrafted and replicated after years of researching hundreds of texts and so much more for the little ones.

Sakura Matsuri

Walk under blooming cherry blossoms at Gardens by the Bay’s latest floral display Sakura Matsuri. Look forward to cultural performances and demonstrations held in conjunction with the floral display. There will be a Japanese-themed fair Nippon Street at the Flower Field Hall till 17 March 2019.

Splish Splash Aqua Fun

Let the kids immerse in some watery fun and splash around all day. Develop their confidence and aquatic readiness skills through fun water activities. Parents are encouraged to join in the activities and have a splashing good time with your children!
