"Coach Juston"
is a Freestyle skater, in fact he was ranked 7th in
Singapore in the MICRO Nationals in late 2007. Starting
out as Rental Crew at SkateSports in 07 he has successfully
completed his practical and theory of Rental, Cashier
and became a Certified Coach in 2007. He is currently
Coaching on weekends at ECP as well as completing his
practical as a part time Operations Manager. His colleagues
and fellow Coaches respect him as a GREAT skater, Coach
and most reliable member of SkateSports team!

Coach Of The Month
"A
coach is a politician, a judge, a public speaker,
a teacher, a trainer, a financier, a laborer, a psychiatrist,
and a chaplain. He must be an optimist and yet at
times appear to be a pessimist, seem humble and yet
be very proud, strong but at times weak, confident
yet not overconfident, enthusiastic but not too enthusiastic.
He must have the hide of an elephant, the fierceness
of a lion, the pep of a young pup, the guts of an
ox, the stamina of an antelope, the wisdom of an owl,
the cunning of a fox, and the heart of a kitten.
He
must be willing to give freely of his time, his money,
his energy, his youth, his family life, and his health.
In return he must expect little if any financial reward,
little comfort on earth, little praise but plenty
of criticism.
However,
a good coach is respected and is a leader in his community,
is loved by his team, and makes lasting friends wherever
he goes.
He
has the satisfaction of seeing young people develop
and improve in ability. He learns the thrill of victory
and how to accept defeat with grace. His associations
with athletes help keep him young in mind and spirit,
and he too must grow and improve in ability with his
team.
In
his heart he knows that, in spite of the inconvenience,
the criticism, and the demands on his time, he loves
his work, for he is the coach".

Coach of
the Month (Nov- Dec 07)
"Coach Tang"
loves to Coach and at 68 years "young" he
is an inspiration to all! After 42 years teaching PE
at St Joseph's Institution, he progressed through the
skating course at SkateSports to become a Certified
Coach. Now, 3 years later, he has progressed to become
"Advisor" of the International Skate Coach
Certification (ISCC) programme ISCC Trainer and conducts
classes on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at East Coast
Park SkateSports. His achievements and contributions
to society and less fortunate are regularly awarded,
this month he was featured in "Contact" SECDC
under "ZESTFULLY 68". Well done Coach Tang!

Coach of the Month (Jan-Feb 07)
Starting at SkateSports
in the rental department, Jasmine helped many students
take their first steps on skates. She committed to being
a Coach attachment then joined the ISCC Coach Certification
program. She didn't pass the first attempt but didn't
let that hinder her passion for Coaching! She dedicated
more time & effort to teach and Coach more students
before being awarded Certified Coach Certificate later
in 2006. Since then Jasmine has taught more classes
than any Coach at ECP, her students love her and we
respect her efforts and commitment!!

COACH of the Month (Nov - Dec
06)
Starting at SkateSports
in the rental department Shane has worked his way up
thru all departments to become a line 2 Manager and
Coach. Besides this, his real achievement this month
is in teaching the most amount of classes, becoming
a ISCC Certified Coach! Those who have taken class Shane,
bought skates r just met Shane at the shop will agree
that he is a great person & excellent representative
for SkateSports, Congratulations Shane!! Meet

of the Month (July - August 06)
"Jardine DeCruz"
- A Level 1 Certified Coach, Line 2 Manager and all
round nice guy! Jardine has gained tremendous experience
and respect for his time teaching Private class students,
Unlimited Class students and students in our SkateInSchools
programme and Skate Camps including "Schoolies"!
Jardine opens & closes the Shop, takes responsibility
to Manage the CREW, meets his sales targets, plays on
SkateSports Hockey Team Thanks & Congratulations,

"ALEX" the
Lion - He started work on the Rental Crew, progressed
to become a Certified Coach & has become an excellent
salesman with knowledge & the responsibility to
manage opening and closing. He is dedicated to his studies,

the Month (Jan-Feb 06)
Mr Tang "Winkie"
attended over 24 private skate lessons with SkateSports
then followed on to do the Coach Certification program.
A retired School Discipline Master from SJI - at 64
years young "Winkie" is presently working
with the FAS and loves teaching skating. He is an inspiration
to those he has taught skating to and also with all
at SkateSports.
