Skate Schools & several freelance Coaches
joined the ISCC Coach Certification programme
with ISCC Trainers; Brent Tay, Darren
Seng & Steven Ismail, Vivian LIm, Edwin Lim,
and Barry Hanson as ISCC Director.
The 29 final candidates took part in the 3 day
intensive Inline Skate Coach Certification programme.
The programme consists of 6 hours theory, 12 hours
guided teaching practice, and there is also a
requirement for a 6 hour attachment for practical
teaching experience.
The standard was set high whereby all trainees
must attain a 70% or greater mark in; Theory,
Practical teaching, personal skating skills to
earn a pass and become a ISCC Certified Coach.

The September ISCC programme results
(overview)
A Pass is awarded when a trainee achieves a 70%
or greater result for each tested category. A
"conditional pass" is awarded when a
trainee achieves a 70% overall score however will
be retested on any one category which the result
is less than 70%. The fail result is when the
overall score is less than 70% regardless.
