Growing support for ISCC
Let the majority of the fraternity
set the standard
ISCC objective
is to provide trainee Coaches with a comprehensive,
structured and progressive programme which is accessible,
affordable and is facilitated by professional and credible
Trainers.
Now, 8 out of 10 Skate Schools have ISCC Certified Coaches
and/or Trainers in their organisation and support the
development of the ISCC program. 84 trainees have completed
the program in the past 4 years and the ISCC Committee
are charged with the responsibility to develop the program
and offer a variety of advancement programmes.
If the majority of Skate Schools, the Coaches recognize
that ISCC program which promotes safety, fun, learning
and offers advancement to National Certification, then
it should be recognized and endorsed by the relative
authorities.

The next ISCC program will be
30th May till 1st June
There are
currently over 1 registrations for the Level 1 Certification
program as such it has been schedulled.
It is expected
that the Trainers will be Mr Tang Wing Kee, Brent Tay
and assistant Trainers Brandon with Director Hanson.

ISCC Programs
From beginner skater to competitive
athlete!
The ISCC
program incorporates over a decade of proven teaching
and coaching expertise, and draws reference from various
sports & fitness programmes. Trainers, Coaches and
Advisors continue to review, improve and expand the
program to ensure the highest standards of achievement
for both Coaches and students alike.
The ISCC program commences with Level one Certification
which is an intensive, comprehensive, structured and
progressive program which is especially designed to
equip new Coaches with the theory, practical knowledge
and expertise to become a Certified Coach.
Modelled on the National Coaching Acreditation Programme
(NCAP), the ISCC program aims to provide a path of professional
development for Coaches of students from beginner level
through to competitive athlete.

Highest Standards
The
ISCC certification course sets the highest standard.
To become an Certified ISCC Coach, participants
must attend an intensive training course and achieve
a minimum pass rate of 70% or greater for each component
of the course including; Theory, Practical, and skating
skills and have over 12 hours practical Coaching experience.
In addition to this, all Coaches are now required to
meet safety standards including the use of protective
gear and are advised to obtain their CPR and First Aid
certification.
The standard is set whereby
all trainees must attain a 70% or greater mark in; Theory,
Practical teaching, personal skating skills to earn
a pass and become a ISCC Certified Coach.
"Setting a high standard has both positive
and negative implications" said Barry Hanson,
Director ISCC. "ISCC delivers the highest quality
of Certification and develop the best Certified Coaches
however, due to the high standards and expectations,
the number of trainees who pass will be less".
